The Riken Keiki RX-8700 is a robust, intrinsically safe portable multi-gas monitor designed specifically for cargo monitoring on crude oil tankers and in petrochemical environments. It simultaneously detects combustible gases, oxygen (O₂), and hydrogen sulfide (H₂S) in both air and inert (nitrogen) atmospheres.

Auto-Ranging Hydrocarbon (HC) Sensor: Features a highly selective infrared (IR) sensor that automatically shifts between 0 – 100% LEL and 0 – 100% volume, making it highly effective even in inert gas environments.
Dual Range H₂S Detection: Measures low-range H₂S from 0 – 100 ppm, and extends up to a high range of 0 – 1,000 ppm.
Powerful Internal Pump: Equipped with a built-in sample drawing pump capable of pulling gas samples from up to 30 meters away.
Hazardous Environment Ready: Carries an Ex ia IIC T4 X explosion-proof rating (ATEX / IECEx / MED approved) and is built to IP-67 water and dust resistance standards.
